Calling NY tomorrow to see about my possible need for a vascular tune-up. I am a ball of nerves – I hope I can sleep tonight!
I have had return of some of my symptoms which affect my eyes, my fatigue, and my leg strength. Hoping to get those back in check following round two.
I just finished a 3 day 1000mg IV on Wed, Thurs, Friday. Now I am on an oral 60,40,20 taper for two weeks. I finally started feeling a bit better today.
I am in a wait and see kind of mode right now, since things have gotten slightly better since the steroids. I’m still bummed out, but know that there’s always hope since a second CCSVI treatment may be a possibility later.
I’d give anything to run again. Not that I was a runner… ever… but I was able to run once a long time ago. I also used to dance and workout regularly.
Now, I just want to be able to even speed walk without limping. I have good days and bad. My good days are awesome and I can jog a little. I even started participating in Zumba classes on Mondays, where I last about 15-20 minutes before my left leg starts to give out. But then I have bad days sometimes where I am limping after just a few minutes of walking. I am wondering if I should just keep pushing through these “bad” days and just keep walking (or limping) my way to running a 5K one day. I mean, you’d think that if I’d keep up with it that eventually my left leg would play nice and get strong enough to allow me to be as active as I want to be.
MS to 5K, or rather Couch to 5K, seems to be something that’s been running (pun totally intended) through my head lately.
I have been fighting one of my worst headaches/migranes ever all day! I really did try everything to get some relief… I laid on the couch moaning in pain as I waited for Tylenol and Aleve to kick in.
I am seriously loving the fact that my migraine is totally gone now after taking Celebrex. Apparently, it is prescribed off-label for migraine prevention in people. It was the only thing that stopped my migraine today – I only wish I had taken it the moment I woke up, instead of trying Aleve and Tylenol. I had to wait for 8 hours after taking the Aleve since you can’t Celebrex at the same time as another NSAID.
I was originally taking it to prevent the side-effects from my Avonex shots. So, I was only taking it once a week. Well, now since I stopped my Avonex, I have leftover Celebrex, which I took for the first time today for something totally unrelated to my Avonex headaches.
