Everyday Miracles

I am so honored and humbled to be one of Dr. Burt’s Everyday Miracles. Dr. Richard Burt takes us on his 30+ year quest to treat Multiple Sclerosis and autoimmune diseases with Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT). He delves into how he goes against the medical establishment, to prove his treatment as one to be considered, as well as possibly become the standard of care, to treat autoimmune diseases.

Nearly 6 years have passed, and I continue to be free of relapse, free of MS medications, and using no assistive devices. Absolutely surreal!
To Dr Burt I say, Thank you for saving so many of us and for continuing your ground-breaking research. You have given us hope that we can beat these previously incurable diseases.

#TBT My very first HSCT video

I was pretty tired and sedated at the end of the night.

Here’s the crazy video that started it all for me, first posted when I began my HSCT journey on Jan 28, 2017 at Northwestern in Chicago.
