Day +120 Update! My 4 month Stemmiversary!

Decided to go live on Facebook for a 4 month update since I’ve been gone so long!  It’s still that rollercoaster of a ride!

Day +100 Update! Post-Surprise Chicago Visit!

I cannot believe it is the end of Day +100!  One Hundred Days since Dr. Burt and his staff at Northwestern gave me my life back.  It’s so humbling, as I am forever grateful and indebted to everyone who helped me along this journey.

I’m finally back to feeling great!  Amazing, in fact!  I’m pretty sure I am done with the cold and sinus infection that were plaguing me for a month now.  On my roller-coaster ride of recovery this is a nice upward turn, and I hope it stays that way!

Day +63 Update! I have my 6 month followup dates!

Day +63!  It’s official!!!  I am returning to Chicago on August 8th and 9th for my 6 month followup!

Amazing how time flies!  I’m so excited to see so many people, including Dr. Burt, my Stem Sister Amy, Melissa and Sebele (at Homewood Suites), and the staff of Prentice 16, to name a few!

I’ve had no MS flair-ups since my treatment on February 23rd (63 days ago).  I’m on no MS meds and haven’t needed steroids for any reason.  My spasms are practically non-existent.  I am walking very well, even long distances without the use of any assistive device – I can even jog a little!  I had outpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy, and was discharged Tuesday because I met all of my goals!

Life is awesome! I thank God every day for Dr. Burt and the Chicago Northwestern staff for everything  they did to help me get my life back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!  And thank you to everyone who helped me get to where I am now… physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially!  I want to thank you all as well!  I couldn’t have done this without all of you!!!
